if a number is even then it is divisible by 2.
So,  9685048 is divisible by 2.

if the number formed by the last two digits in a number is divisible by 4, the original number is divisible by 4
clearly, 48 is divisible by 4, so 9685048 is divisible by 4.

if the last three digits of a given number are zeros or if the number formed by the last three digits is divisible by 8, then such a number is divisible by 8.
here, 048 ie 48 is divisible by 8,  so 9685048 is divisible by 8.
