functions of the block Samiti. (1)to help the villages in obtaining improved seed and fertilizer(2) to educate people about new and improved agricultural implements and use of pesticides(3) to make them aware of the need of immunization for the children's as to protect against many diseases.(4th) to tell people about the family welfare programs(5) to establish small enterprises in the rural areas

the works of zila parishad are:- 
it makes developmental plans at district level .
with the help of panchayat samiti it also regulates the money distribution among all the gram panchayat
it approves the budget of panchayat samithi in the district level
