Strong determination,motivation and right direction helped Bismillah Khan in achieving his target.justify?
It is true that strong determination and motivation helped Bismillah Khan to reach his target. Traditionally, the shehnai was played only in temples. Though a Muslim, Bismillah Khan, in his initial years, practiced Shehnai in the temples. Later, he brought shehnai onto the classical stage. He got his first break in 1938 with the opening of the All India Radio in Lucknow. He started playing the shehnai on radio. Soon he became quite popular. After this there was no looking back for him. On 15 August 1947, he played the Raag Kaafi on his shehnai from the Red Fort. It was an historic event and was a great day for him.
