Sulphur burning is a physical or chemical change?
Almost all the burning reactions are chemical reactions. So when sulphur burns , it is a chemical reaction and it forms SO2 (sulphur dioxide ) as the sulphur reacts with oxygen in the air to form this colorless and poisonous gas. Thus, the burning of sulphur is a chemical change as a new substance sulphur dioxide is formed, which has different chemical properties and different chemical composition.
