 Dear student, There is a need to standardise the naming of the living organisms in all over the world by the process called nomenclature.  Identification of the organism is necessary to differentiate them according to their descriptive characteristics. Bionomial nomenclature is important to naming the organisms. Each organism have a generic name and specific name. first name is called as generic and 2nd name is called specific name.From the biological name any plant and animal easily identified. Classification- It is the process which anything is grouped into convenient categories based on their observable characters.According to certain particular characters they are classified into several categories. Taxa- It can identify categories at different levels. Taxonomy- Based on characteristics all living organisms can be classified into different taxa. Taxonomic categories showing hierarchical arrangements in ascending order Kingdom- phylum or division ---class- order -family -genus --- species Regards Meritnation
