Taplow is very critical of his teacher . Why ?

Dear student

Taplow was very critical of his teacher because, he believed that his teacher did not care one bit about the welfare of his students. He was not remotely relatable, and possessed no quality that an ideal teacher should have. If anything, Crocker-Harris was dull, unfeeling, patronising and cynical. He did not believe in making his students' education any better than it actually was, and gave them extra work to do, as he had done with Taplow. His classes were also abysmal and Taplow believed that people could not truly learn anything from Crocker-Harris.
