Hereditary rule has many demerits. Few of them are as follows:
1) The heir might not have the talents to rule the kingdom.
2) The available talents are not used thus jeopardising the welfare of the people.
3) People's resentment will not count. Even if they revolt to remove the king in power , they will not be able to bring the ruler of their choice to power.
