the day when her grandson comes home after 5 years. the grandmother organised an evening celebration and sang the song of the homecoming of the warriors, with her heart's content. that day she ommitted her daily routine of mumbling prayers and rejoiced the occassion by singing and dancing the entire evening. the next day, she had a 'mild fever' and as the doctor had said, it was nothing to worry about. but the grandmother, in her heart of hearts, knew that her end was near. she regretted omitting her prayers before the end of her lifetime- thus, she did not waste her time talking to the others. instead, she lay in her bed peacefully, mumbling prayers and telling the beads of her rosary. suddenly, her lips stopped moving and the rosary fell out of her lifeless fingers, indicating the departure of her soul from her body.
