Please explain Collective Nouns singular or plural when to use in Subject Verb Agreement urgently,  as I have exam after 3 hours.

Collective nouns are those nouns that are used to represent a group of people, things, or animals. For e.g,
A flock of sheep.
an army of soldiers.

The committee works hard for better schools.
The committee are having sandwiches for lunch.
A bouquet of yellow roses lends colour and fragrance to the room. 
The jury were polled for their verdicts.
