The difference between aspirations and Desire
Dear Student,
a. Both the terms aspiration and desire are often used interchangeably , but they are different concepts .
b. Desire is when we wish for something which is finite and material in nature. Our desires are inherent and recurring in nature and may be the result of many factors.
c. Desire involves our wish to won something which is tangible in nature. For example, I desire to have a big bungalow.
d. Aspiration is one's wish to attain our objectives, to attain spiritual consciousness. It is our endeavour to achieve that allows us to lead a more fulfilling life.
e. Aspiration is not attaining or having material possessions rather attaining something which is higher, which gives you gratification and peace and which adds on to one's glory and self esteem. For instance, you aspire to become a doctor/ teacher etc.
Regards
