The driving force that helps in movement of sucrose to phloem cells.

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

The driving force for the movement of sucrose in phloem cells is the difference in pressure potential between source and sink.  Part of the plant that makes sucrose (food) is known as a source cell and other parts that do not produce food are known as sink cells. Source cell has a good amount of sucrose in it whereas sink cells have a low amount of sucrose in it. This difference in concentration gradient results in the movement of sucrose molecules from the source cells to the sink cells via phloem tissues.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.
