The function of prostate gland is to to secrete a slightly alkaline fluid, milky or white in appearance, that usually constitutes 50–75% of the volume of the semen along with spermatozoa and seminal vesicle fluid.

Prostate gland:-It is a part of male reproductive system, located at the base of the urinary bladder.
It produces alkaline fluid, which carries sperm.
Prostatic fluid provide motility,longer survival period and protection to sperms.
