 actully life of the workers was different from the lives of indigo planters in india. If you are talking about this in india before its independence, then they were mostly similiar in many ways because either way the production was in the hands of the British. If you are talking about their lives after the independence, then its different as they have tea and coffee planters have larger areas of field than the indigo planters. in most parts of india, the tea and coffee plants are havested by hand (known as hand harvest) but indigo is produced in many parts of so as there are many machines.
