the mass of the truck is 10 times that of the car and speed of the car is twice that of the truck find the ratio of the kinetic energy of the truck to that of the car

Dear Student,

It's simple, Kinetic energy = 1/2mv^2
Let M be mass of car then mass of truck = 10m
Let v be velocity of car then velocity of truck = v/2
KE of truck = 1/2(10m)(v/2)^2
= 5mv^2/4
KE of car = 1/2(m)(v^2)
= mv^2/2
Ratio of truck to car= 5/4:1/2
=5:2
