The mean of 20 observations is 17. If 25 is added to the sum of observations, find the new mean.

The mean of 20 obs.=17
hence,sum of the obs=17*20
                                   =340
if 25 five is added,
new sum                     =365
hence, new mean        =365/(17+1)
                                    =365/18
                                    =20.28(approx)(ans)
