Let A2p,4 and B-2, 2b are the given points and P1, 2p+1 is the mid point of AB
Now, 1, 2p+1 = 2p-22, 4 + 2b2⇒1 = 2p-22   and  2p + 1 = 4 + 2b2⇒2 = 2p - 2 and 2p + 1 = 2 + b⇒2p = 4   and  b = 2p-1⇒p = 2  
1   and b = 2p-1   
2Put p = 2 in 2, we getb = 2×2-1 = 4-1 = 3So, p = 2 and b = 3
