# the perimeter of a school volley ball court is 177 feet and the length is twice the width . what are the dimensions of the court ?

let width = x

length = 2x

perimeter = 2(l+b)

177 feet = 2(2x+x)

177 feet = 2*3x

177 feet = 6x

x = 177/6 feet

x= 59/2 feet

x= 29.5 feet

width = 29.5 feet

length = 29.5 * 2 = 59

• 2

Perimeter = 177feet

Therefore , length = 2x

2(l + b) = Perimeter

2(2x + x) = 177feet

2 * 3x = 177feet

Therefore , 3x = 177/2

Therefore , x = 177/2 / 3

= 177/2 * 1/3

= 59/2 = 29.5

Therefore , breadth = 29.5 feet

Length = 2x = 29.5 * 2 = 59feet

And I need thumbs up ............... I helped u right ????????????
