the solute cant be separated from solution by filtration....why??

Filtration is the process of separation which can separate a substance from its medium considering the size of the particle to be separated should be large enough. Since the particle of solute within a solvent is very small they tends to pass through the filter paper along with solvent and do not get separated.

Example : Sugar as solute in the solution of  water cannot be separated through distillation because the size of the sugar particles is very small.

A solute cannot be separated through filtration when it has been completely dissolved in its solvent .for example if u use water and salt solution ...the salt gets completely dissolved and hence is unable to be filtered ..In this kind of case we must use other methods such as evaporation. Filtration can only be done when the solute is visible in the solution for example water and sand can be separated via filtration.
