The western slpoes of western ghaats receives rainfall in summer while eastern coast of eastern ghats receives rainfall in winter. WHY???????

The western slopes of the western ghats fall in the wind ward side of the south west monsoon wind and so gets rain from it. On the other hand the eastern side of the Western Ghats fall in the windward side of the retreating monsoon wind.
