Here vertical section of depth in earth shows different layers of the soil  which is called the soil profile profile, which are 

• A-horizon
• B-horizon
• C-horizon
• Bedrock

But on the basis particle size of soil, the layers are

• Clay 
• Sand 
• Gravel
