There are two concentric metal shells of radii r1 and r2 (r2>r1). If the outer shell has a charge q and the inner shell is grounded, the charge on the inner shell is?

Dear Student,
 If the charge of  +q is distributed to the outer sphere, it will distribute itself both its inner and outer surfaces.some charge q2 will remain on the outer surface of the outer sphere and some charge q1  will shift to its inner side because there is an earthed sphere.
q =q+ q2
The inner charge +q1 induces -q1 on the inner sphere but the other charge of +q1  goes to the earth.
