They say that non-metals are non -sonorous (does not produce sound).
But wind produces the sound, where air (a mixture of non metals.) under pressure produces a "hooooooooo" sound.
So does this make an exception in the properties of non-metals?
Dear student,
Metals when struck produce a distinct loud sound unlike wind where the source of sound is due to friction between the wind and the object which comes in contact.
