  • The animal kingdom consists of multicellular eukaryotic organisms, having a heterotrophic mode of nutrition. 

 

  • There are nine phyla in kingdom Animalia. They are Porifera, Coelenterata, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida, Mollusca, Arthropoda, Echinodermata and Chordata.

  • Nature of coelom
  • Patterns of digestive, circulatory, or reproductive systems are some of the features used to classify animals.
