Today's generation is not so serious about discipline and rules and regulations. They do not believe in leading a disciplined life. School children too do not behave in accordance with the set norms but then how can all this be rectified ? It is becoming difficult to enforce discipline in educational institutions because punishment is not considered a good option nowadays. But punishment is necessary to correct irresponsible behaviour in students. Until and unless they are punished for indiscipline the students may not learn the value of it. It is inevitable that punishment in any form should be imposed to ensure discipline in the students.
