two liquids are at 40 degree c and 30 degree c.when they are mixed in equal masses the temperature of the mixture is 36 degree c.ratio of their specific heat is

Dear Student,

We know,

ΔQ=mCΔT

so heat released by liquid at higher temperature is equal to heat received by liquid at lower temperature and this process is continued, till both reach an equilibrium temperature.

Since both liquids have same mass so we have,

C1(40-36)=C2(36-30)
or  C1/C2=6/4

or C1:C2=3:2

Regards.
