Uricotelism is more advantageous than ureotelism and ammonotelism in terrestrial animals because:

• Uric acid is the least toxic among urea and ammonia.
• It is the least soluble in water among urea and ammonia, and is mostly eliminated in a solid state, thus saving water.
• Thus, very little amount of water is required for elimination of uric acid.

Thus, since a very small amount of water is required for elimination of uric acid from the body, it is more advantageous for terrestrial animals, which have very limited exposure to water.
