Various heaps of stones were lying on the road which was well lit
up by tall lamp posts placed at the distance of 100m The first heap
of stones was kept adjacent to the first lamp post If the distance
between the subsequent heaps of stones is 75m, at what distance
will the two , the lamp post and heap of stones be adjecent to each
other again ?

Dear Student,Distance between two lamp post=100 metersDistance between two heap of stones=75 metersAt, first lamp post and heap of stones are adjacent to each other
Lamp post can be only in the multiple of 100 meters,So, 2nd lamp post =2×100 =200 m3rd lamp post =3×100=300 m4th lamp post =4×100=400 mHeaps of stones can be only in the multiple of 75 meters,So, 2nd heap of stones =2×75=150 m3rd heap of stones =3×75=225 m4th heap of stones =4×100=300 mSo, we see that 3rd lamp post and 4th heap of stones are at the same distance (300 m)
