We know that we don't have to record the discount allowed and
received (nor have to reduce it) in cash book But there are several
examples where it is reduced and some where it isn't why so?

Hi Sakshi,

Trade discount is not recorded in the books of accounts However, if
it is a cash discount (whether allowed or received) it is
to be very much shown in the Cash Book
