  • India is still one of the poorest country in the world even after lots of planning.every third person in India is poor.
  • The poor people in our society face various problems like social discrimination,social condemnation,housing,subculture of poverty etc.
  • The government and rich people of our country look down upon the poor.They are considered inefficient and a burden on the society.
  • Poor people are discriminated at every level.
  • Poor people face the challenges of illiteracy and social prejudice.
  • They have to pay a very high rate of interest when they borrow money to earn their livelihood.
  • Poor people in urban areas face problems like houselessness,slums and rental laws etc.
  • Due to unabated population growth there is a lack of resources which provide ,food clothing and other article of daily use.
  • Poor people in India lead a wretched life in slums.
