Decimals are the numbers which have some part with them that is less than 1 and greater than or equal zero. These parts are called decimal parts. The decimal parts of decimal points are always present after a decimal point.
For example: 2.35, 4.5 and 7.25 are the decimals or decimal numbers.
Here 2, 3 and 7 are the ordinary countable numbers
In the decimal number 2.35, 2 is a countable number and the additional part 0.35 is the decimal part. This decimal part is greater than zero and less than one
Similarly, the decimal parts associated with the decimals 4.5 and 7.25 are 0.5 and 0.25 respectively.
