deforestation simply means cutting of trees.some natural causes of deforestation are forest fires severe droughts .

deforestation increases the temperature and pollution level on Earth.it in creases th level of CO2 in the atmosphere.ground water level also gets lowered.it disturbes the balance in nature.it decreases rainfall and fertility of the soil.increases chances of natural calamities such as floods and droughts.global warming

Deforestation is the action of cutting tree.Also natural causes like lightning, drought, or forest fire also leads to loss  of trees.Deforestation has many impacts on our environment.

• Trees; which are responsible to hold the soil and avoid soil erosion are cut ultimately leading to soil erosion.
• Trees also function the process of transpiration which contribute in the water cycle.Deforestation leads to disturbance in the water cycle leading to less rainfall.For farmers who depend on rain to water their crop this get them to a great loss.
• As trees are known to block sound waves and absorb them.Thereby planting more trees we could avoid noise pollution to a great extent.But cutting them again is creating the problem of noise pollution.
• Cutting trees from forest creates habitat loss for animals, birds, insects and disturbs both eco -system and food-web.
• Tribals which inhabit in the forest are displaced because they totally depend on the forests for their life and livlihoods.
• During the process of photosynthesis, trees absorb CO₂ and release O_2. By cutting trees we increase the level of CO₂ in the atmosphere which rises the sea level ultimately leading to floods in low lying areas.
