What are irrational numbers? give examples please.

Decimal expansion of a number whose alternative values cannot be found are known as irrational numbers.

for example:- root 5 , root2, root7 etc.

A number which can't be written in the form p/q where p & q are integers and q not equal to zero.It's decimal expansion is non-terminating and non-recurring.

eg: root3,root8 , 2root3 etc.
