what are micellus?

asked by madhuri (student)

Micelle is aggregation of lipid molecules that are arranged in a spherical form as a droplet in an aqueous solution. When soaps or detergents are added to water micelle is formed. Each micelle has a hydrophilic head region and a hydrophobic tail region. Several micelle aggregate in a solution and form a ball like shape where the hydrophilic end remains in contact with the solution and the hydrophobic ends in the center.
