 Hi,

A perennial river is a river or stream that more or less flows all the time. Possibly brief lulls during droughts - but differing from intermittent rivers, which only flow during the rainy season, and typically is dry for long stretches other times.

For most people, talking about a "perennial" river is redundant - as ALL the rivers and streams in their area are perennial rivers. It's just in dry regions, which do have intermittent rivers, that it makes sense to add that qualifier.

the Ganga,Brahmaputra Narmada, the Godavari, the Krishna, the Kaveri are all perennial rivers.

Hope It Helps!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
