What are pressure parties???
Dear Student,
There is nothing referred as Pressure parties, there are indeed Pressure groups and Political parties.
You may refer the following:
a. Pressure groups which are organised group of people formed to attain common objectives, they pressurise the government to achieve their goals.
b. These groups. Involve active participation of the people. They organize meetings, filing petitions and try to gain public support for their cause.
c. They try to influence the media by drawing its attention to their issues.
d. They organize strikes, protests and dharnas to voice their interests.
e. Some members of these groups and movements may also participate in official bodies and committee that offers advice to the government
f. They may indulge in lobbying , sponsor advertisements, hold campaigns.
g. Example, FICCI, Bhartiya Kisan Union
Political parties on the other hand are the organized group of people having common ideology and their main aim is to contest in elections, come to power and retain power. They seek to directly control or form the government. Their aim is to come to power . Example, BJP, Congress.
