What are the different parts of an electroscope. Also please tell me if i want to obtain a positive charge how should i write and a negative charge how should i write it

The basic construction consists of an earthed metal box with glass windows, as shown in the figure.

A gold leaf is attached to one end of the metal rod. On the other end of the rod there is a metallic cap. When the cap is touched with a charged object, the charge flows down through the metal rod to the gold leaf. Charge will be distributed in the gold leaf and the lower end of the metal rod. The repulsive force between similar charges causes the gold-leaf to be deflected from the end of the rod.

For getting more assistance on the remaining queries we would request you to kindly ask only single query in each thread

The different parts of an electroscope are :-

i)   Brass disc
ii)  Insulator plug
iii) Brass rod
iv) Glass case
v)  Metal foil
vi) Gold leaves

If u want to obtain a positive charge then bring a -tively charged object towards the brass disc of the electroscope and +tive chsrge gets induced on the golden leaves and vice-versa to obtain a -tive charge on the golden leaf
