The main conformations of DNA are:
A-form DNA: It is a right-handed spiral with a shallow minor groove and narrower major groove. It has 11 bp per turn and a diameter of 2.6nm.
B-form DNA: It is a right-handed spiral which turn about the helical axis with 10.5 bp per turn. It has a diameter of 2.0nm.
Z-form DNA: It comes from a larger change in B-form DNA. in this, the strands urn around the helical axis in a left-handed spiral. It has 12 bp per turn and a diameter of 1.8nm.
The most common form which predominates in nature is the B-form of DNA.
