what are the measures taken by indian government for environmental conservation.?
For environmental conservation government has taken different steps;
1. Promotion of LPG and Gobar gas in rural areas-
The government has introduced and promoted the usage if LPG as a fuel for cooking in a very subsidized rate. It is mainly because it is a very clean and eco -friendly fuel. It also provides loans to the people who wish to erect a gobar gas pant in which cow dung is converted into gas and the residue can be used as a manure.
2. CNG in urban areas-The Delhi government t has introduced only the usage of CNGs as fuel for the public transport which has reduced the pollution.
3. Traditional methods- The traditional methods which were followed in education ,healthcare, cultivation and production provided a long term benefit. But now the momentum fro those traditional methods has reduced. If you consider the health sector, India has around 15,000 medicinal plats which has natural qualities to cure diseases . So to promote these traditional methods, awareness regarding the usage of AYUSH, Natural manure, vermicomposting and neem has pesticides has been done by the government.
Thus India is moving towards sustainable development.
