What are the secretions of prostate and bulbourethral glands? Also write the function of each of the secretions.

Prostate glands produces alkaline fluid, which carries sperm. Prostatic fluid provide motility, longer survival period and protection to sperms.

Bulbourethral glands are also known as cowpers gland and are found in the male reproductive system. These secrete mucus and alkaline fluid into the urethra. The mucus lubricates the urethra for smooth passage of spermatozoa and the alkaline fluid neutralises the acidity of any remaining urine present in the urethra.
