In case of AIDS, the virus affects the body’s immune system and damages its function and leads to death. The symptoms are due to body’s immune system getting weaker and thus infection takes place. Some of the major symptoms are Weight Loss, Lack of energy, Dry cough, Nausea, Skin rashes, Fever, Sweat, Mouth sores, Anal or genital sores etc.

The symptoms of AIDS include fever, lymphadenopathy, pharyngitis, rash, myalgia, malaise, mouth and esophageal sores, and may also include, but less commonly, headache, nausea and vomiting, enlarged liver/spleen, weight loss, thrush, and neurological symptoms.
When a person is infected with AIDS, even the smallest symptoms attain large proportions and can become even fatal. THe immune system is weakened and hence, every common cold can become pneumonia, etc.
