What are the units of force ?

Dear student,

The S.I. unit of force is Newton(N) or $\raisebox{1ex}{$kg.m$}\!\left/ \!\raisebox{-1ex}{$s^2$}\right.$ .
$1 kN= {10}^3 N$
The C.G.S unit of force is dyne(dyn). or $g.cm/s^2$.
$1 dyne = {10}^{-5 } N$
The gravitational metric unit of force is kilogram force (kgf).
$1 kgf = 9.81 N$
Some other units of force are with their conversion in Newton:
$1 pound-force = 4.45 N$
