What did Taylor want to communicate through a mental revolution?

Dear Student

Mental Revolution seeks for a complete change in the mindset of both the management and the workers. As per F.W. Taylor, there is a need for revolution in mindset of both the management and the workers. It will lead to an increase in the feeling of cooperation. Moreover, it will be beneficial for both the parties (employers and the workers). Normally, it is observed in the businesses that conflict occurs between employers and workers. The chaos or conflict is generally related to the division of profits where each party (employer and the worker) seeks higher proportion of profit. This is where the concept and need of Mental Revolution comes into picture.
According to F.W. Taylor, it is necessary for both (employer and the employee) to concentrate on increasing profits rather than fighting over the apportionment of profits.
