What do you mean by 10 percent law and explain with pyramid of energy?

Ten Percent (10%) Law: Ten percent law for transfer of energy from one trophic level to the next was introduced by Lindeman (1942). According to this law, during the transfer of energy from organic food from one trophic level to the next, only about ten percent of the of energy from organic matter is stored as flesh. The remaining is lost during transfer, broken down in respiration, or lost to incomplete digestion by higher trophic levels.

because energy flow of a level to the next level decrease. the plants which is a producer take only 1% of solar energy in the process of photosynthesis 
the plants when eaten by the the consumer a lot of energy is released into the atmosphere in the form of heat to the atmosphere so  only 10% of the plants energy is transfered to the next generation and so on ..... this transfer of 10% energy to the next level i.e from producers to primary consumer to secondary consumer to higher secondary consumer
