What do you understand about a mother's instinct to save its child?

There are numerous instances in nature when animal mothers face real danger to save their children: does fight lions to protect their fawns, birds peck at cats trying to eat their young! All others are known to know no fear when it comes to saving their children from harm of any kind: this is a mother's instinct to save its children. An instinct is an innate, typically fixed pattern of behaviour to a situation/person. Some studies show there are certain hormones that determine this behaviour in mothers: whatever it may be, it is a child's protective gear.
