  • In 14th century there was a general slow down in Europe's productivity growth. The crisis hit the agricultural sector at first especially  the marginal fields and those used for grazing, and also for agriculture, suffered a lot hence were soon abandoned.
  • The changes in terms of climate hit the harvests  which became more scarce.
  • The growth of the population and less  agricultural resources gave rise to some serious issues famines and epidemics that effected populations.
