What do you understand by islands?

Dear Student.

a. Island refers to  piece of land which is surrounded by water.
b.Islansd are smaller than continents and may be found on oceans, rivers, seas etc.
c.A cluster of Islands is referred as  archipelago.
d. We may give example Andaman and Nicobar islands, Fijjian island.
