What does that mean!

Dear Student

Frameshift mutation is a type of genetic mutation which is caused due to deletion or insertion of nucleotides in a DNA sequence.
Due to the insertion and deletion of bases, frame of bases changes and hence the sequence of amino acids also changes.
This type of mutation may cause diseases like Cystic fibrosis, Tay – Sachs disease, HIV etc. Certain types of cancers are also caused due to this mutation. This mutation may cause randomly or due to some external stimuli.
