What does the narrtor mean when she says ,my conscience get horribly pricked???In detail

Plzzz its urgent

When the narrator remembers all the kinds of candies, lollies and sweeteners she had had, she feels extremely guilty as because of them her teeth had spoilt and decayed. As a result of this, she had to go to the dentist and suffer from tooth-ache as well as endure the drilling and other processes that were being done to rectify the problems in her teeth. Thus, the memory of all the sweets she had had bothers her immensely as it had all put her in such a painful situation.

It troubles her conscience because she feels extremely bad when she is reminded of the candies she had that caused her teeth to rot away.
