what happened in the class on the last day?

 

On the last day when Franz reached school he was a little scared because he was late and he feared hat M.Hamel would beat him with his iron rod. Howevr when he reached there was absolute silence in the class .. Nobody spoke . M.Hamle did not scold him ans asked him to be seated which made him feel a little strange. He noticed a lot of changed around him. He say the village people sitting on the last benches which were usually empty. M.Hamel was dressed in the best of his clothes which he wore only on special occassions. He started teaching and revealed that it was his last lesson in school today and that from now on they will b taught German. This made Franz sad and he felt  guilty and sorry for not attending M..Hamel's class attentively .
