what happens when light falls on the refracting edge of a prism?

Dear Student, The refracting edge of a prism is the edge where two reflecting faces of a prism meet. The edge is sharp and opaque so light doesn't refract through it. Light gets scattered from the edge and dispersed near the surroundings. Regards
